Responsibilities:
• Intellectual Property Protection: Oversee the company’s IP portfolio, including conducting preliminary trademark clearance searches, assisting with filings, and tracking the status of brand registrations.
• Contract & Agreement Drafting: Draft, evaluate, and refine core corporate legal documents, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), vendor agreements, freelancer contracts, and internal employment letters.
• Corporate Governance & Compliance: Monitor regulatory requirements to ensure the company remains fully compliant with Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) guidelines, ROC timelines, and corporate filing schedules.
• Startup Framework Support: Manage documentation related to Startup India incentives, DPIIT recognitions, and corporate compliance checklists required for institutional growth.
• Policy & Risk Documentation: Help design, update, and manage the company’s internal data privacy policies, website terms of service, and corporate risk mitigation guidelines.
Preferred Skills / Requirements:
• Legal Acumen & Research: Solid understanding of Indian corporate law, contract law, and the intellectual property registration framework (specifically Trademarks and Copyrights).
• Meticulous Drafting Skills: Exceptional command of the written language, with the ability to draft precise legal clauses that protect company interests.
• Compliance Management: Highly organized mindset capable of running a structured compliance calendar to manage corporate filing deadlines proactively.
• Education Background: Pursuing or holding a degree in Law (LL.B. / B.A. LL.B.) or working towards a Company Secretary (CS) qualification.
